Open 12.10.10

Last Tuesday we went to the Open Music Venue in Norwich for a Media Industries careers Convention! We listened to speakers on Music, Dance, Performance, Graphic Design and Animation. I found the music speech the best because they reassured me that there are lots of places you will be able to play at gigs or concerts and i knew that it would help me. The task for the day was to ask at least one question to one of the key speakers so, firstly, I spoke to Sophie Little. Sophie is the lead singer of the rock group "The Brownies". She gave me some really useful advice on how to start a band, and i gave my email to her so that she could contact me further so i could get more information. I also liked the speech on acting so when  it came to the one to one speaking, i spoke to Reece Ritchie. Reece is an actor and has played roles in 10,000 BC and The Lovely Bones. He, and the other actors, inspired me to look for auditions in Norwich. The last people I spoke to were the animators; they were really funny, but had some good tips on how to make animated films.

Over all i enjoyed the day very much and it has inspired me to got out and look for more opportunities :)
